2-Input 5.8GHz Video Sender Kit

Excellent does just what it says it will do on the packaging although the user manual should be re-written in English. There was no mention that the two SCART leads are in fact different and if connected to the wrong units will not work. Swapping them over however and it all worked like a dream. I would recommend this purchase.

I read the favourable reviews on here and it seemed perfect for what I wanted; I wanted to hang the telly on the wall but didn't want to have to chase out the wall to run the video cables etc, mains feed wasn't a problem as there was a wall light just where the telly was going to go. I bought the product and plugged it all together, nothing! Not a dickey bird. I double checked the leads were in correctly and that the leads were the correct one's i.e. they are marked up "in" and "out". On the 5th time of checking the leads a picture came up for a short time and then went off again, I found that by slowly waggling the video in lead on the transmitter I could get it to work. As it was quite a way back to Maplins I decided to have a quick look inside and see if it was just a simple bad or loose connection, it turned out that the track on the main board had come away from the board and was hanging in mid air. The block that incorporates the output RCA sockets isn't fixed to board and relies on the contacts being soldered firmly to the board for support. I soldered up the broken track and epoxy resined the RCA socket block to the board so it couldn't move about, I rebuilt the unit and plugged it all back in. The picture and audio came up straight away, the signal only has to pass through one thin internal breeze block wall but it seems to struggle doing so, there is a definite loss of picture quality but the worst thing is that the picture goes off if you walk anywhere near the receiver; you don't have to be going between the transmitter and the receiver for it to do this; just near to the receiver; sometimes you can be up to 8 feet away when it does this. The ability to use the remote controls is a good point and I've found that I didn't need to tape them directly to the unit to be able to control them, the down side is that the receiver doesn't have any remote pick-ups for the transmitter so the unit (which is bigger than you think) has to be on display all the time; it would have been better if you could have tucked the unit away down the back of the telly and just had a small pick up showing. The construction of the units is cheap and the units are 4 times bigger than they need to be as there's virtually nothing inside them. Yes they do the job but only just! Even the sale price is way over their worth and I wouldn't recommend these units

I had been struggling with the 2.4gHz version of video senders for years, putting up with poor reception, range and interference from the microwave...These little beauties solved ALL that..great interference-free reception in rooms that were inacessible to the 2.4gHz versions..Recommended without hesitation...

Didn't work for me. Plugged it in as instructed (though to be honest the instructions were poorly translated) and got a very poor picture. The distance from sender to receiver was less than 20 feet, mainly along a corridor. Tried to set the sender / receiver pair up next to each other (i.e. 6 inches), and reception was no better. Finally managed to get a picture, though there was no apparent reason for the improvement. Taking the receiver back to 20 feet, even in direct line of sight, the reception was awful.

Bought this as my older 2.4ghz was getting too much interference from other wireless appliances in the house. Got it connected to sky box in bedroom and to receiving tv in the kitchen within 15mins.Was simple to set up and had all connections supplied. Had to change the channel setting on the units to get the best picture.The signal is being sent through 2 maybe 3 concrete walls and also wooden floor. The remote relay works great too.Something to remember is that if you want to use the remote sender is that the receiver has to be in view as the sensor is on the front of it. Apart from that I have not had any issue with the item and would recommend it to anyone who does not have aerial sockets in each of their rooms and doesn't want to drill holes to fit a sky eye with co-axial. Bought this at sale price of £59.99 and is reasonable compared to others on the market for £80plus. I have yet to try the 2 input as only require the one for Sky
