hi do i need a charger controller/regulator with the 12w solar panel [N31CX]

This would depend on the battery, if the battery is smaller than 12v 12aH then a regulator is recommended.

Could this charge 2 6v batterys if the 2 6v batts were connected in series ?

Yes the product does support that.

Do i need a regulator to control the charge from this to a 110ah liesure battery? See other similar sized units you have have one?

Not for a battery of that size, if it was under 90ah you would need one.

£4.17 per Watt-peak is not a bad price for solar PV at the discounted price.
A good quality panel and although the specification says that up to ten of these may be wired in parallel for extra power (current), they may also be happily wired in series for 24v operation (large RV, lorry, etc. with 24v electrical system).

I am the published author of a book on solar power (The Solar Electricity Handbook) and as such have a reasonable amount of experience with solar panels.

I have to say I like this product. Whilst you can buy smaller panels to give the same output, this amorphous panel works well in all conditions - not just on bright sunny days.

It is well made and comes with all the usual connections for connecting up to most things. The only extra connector it would be useful to have is a car cigarette lighter female connector - get one of those as well and you can use the panel to charge up mobile phones, sat nav devices and the like really quickly - unlike most of the portable solar chargers on the market, which can take days to provide a charge.

If you only require a modest power output then this is a good product to go for - shed lighting, charging up a caravan battery, even to build a small grid-fallback system for home lighting if you buy two or three of them - this is a good panel to start from.

The weakest link is the power connector going into the top of the frame, and for this reason I have only given the unit four stars out of five. It is technically not fully weather proof although I have had two panels outside now for the past two years without any problems (I have shielded the connectors to give a little extra protection).
