very disappointing - almost impossible to fly - unit just tips over & hits the ground - won`t fly at all from grass - don`t know where the "easy to fly" statement on the box comes from. moderator note: the item will have very few issues flying if it is set up correctly and flown in suitable conditions as indicated by previous customer reviews.

Good value for money at the price . Charger is very basic, but fortunately the battery has a standard lipo connection so can be charged using a balanced charger. I fly r/c airplanes, I found this a little tricky at first, but now on day two I'm getting good smooth control. The motors get very hot even on just a short flight, so if it's possible to fit heats sinks it would be a good idea. It's a good idea to fit a training frame (four lightweight sticks, I used knitting needles) which poke out beyond rotor length diagonally underneath and help prevent damage when you bump things. As said, apart from the motors getting hot a good little heli.

I was given one of these machines about four months ago, and have been absolutely delighted with it. Learning to control it is just enough of a challenge to keep you interested, without damaging either your ego or the helicopter. Unless you are already proficient, you will inevitably have the occasional prang, but as long as you are reasonably careful, and cut the engine if disaster seems inevitable, you are unlikely to inflict major damage. Although the machine is said to be suitable for flying outdoors, only try this if the air is virtually still. Otherwise, it is great fun and excellent value for money

Purchased this helicopter today from my local store and ordered the spares pack just to be safe. Only ever played with the smaller 'copters so this was pretty new to me, had to spend some time getting used to the controls i.e. rudder controls and the trim settings, soon though I was flying. Be careful though this machine packs quite a wollop as it's powerful, the blades are extemely quick when running and it's heavier than I expected. After retrieving it from some neighbours gardens, without any major damage I may add, I decided to take it onto my local field to get a better feel for the machine. I am lucky that I have a couple of batterys that fit the helicopter so I was able to get a good hours practice, these are available seperately and well worth investing in. I think this is a great start to the world of rc helicopters, more robust than I expected and a great toy for some of the hot summer days I'm expecting (please).

Great price! You can spend the same amount on a lot worse believe me so my advice is this. If you are a big kid like me at 46 get your hands on one of these, escape the wife (just joking) and go and have fun!!!! 5 stars from me Maplins

This little helicopter is great and is very robust provided you throttle back before you hit the ground. Even completely submerged it in a pond! Dried it out and off it went again. Fell out of a tree from 20 ft and again off it went. Excellent little product. Still going strong!! Brilliant!

Nice product - good spares support is necessary. Not all the spares listed in the manual seem to be in the horizontal scroll list.

This was disappointing due to poor robustness. The packaging says this product is designed to withstand crashes, however I found this not the case. Our helicopter often topple over on gentle landings and this would normally destroy the balance bar. We replaced the balance bar but that also broke within a couple of landings. Moderator note: the item is built to withstand mild crashes but this is relative to the nature and point of impact of the crash.

great unit comes pretty much ready to fly. one tip and that would be to apply a little hot glue between the tail section and the main body which will reduce tail vibration massively and thus improve response and stability. Trim adjustments are not voltage regulated and thus require some level of fine adjustment over the course of battery charge required. all in all a cheap flyable electric helicopter that works very well.

Good fun for the price. Spares pack worth getting, which contains the following codes (all start 9081- ) 01 02 03 04 05 16 20 21 26
