Can you recharge flat car and lawnmower batteries with this unit, as well as jump start the car or lawnmower?

The unit has no facility to charge a battery only the ability to be able to jump start a low / flat battery.

is this product ok to start a 1.9 turbo diesel.

This is not designed for engine capacity, it is designed for cars that require up to 400A crank power. Please contact the vehicle manufacturer for confirmation of the crank power required

can this product be used to inflate bike types, footballs, inflatables etc .. and does it come with any necessary adaptors...?

Yes the product does support that.

We own the 5 in 1 jump starter (very good product!) but we lost the charger. I want to know what kind of charger we need (volts and amps) or can we recharge by just using the 220V output socket. Thanks and have a nice day

the jump start is provided by an internal battery which is charged via the mains adapter provided with the unit.

When you charge the battery the indicator light is red, when fully charged should the light change to green?

No, this will always show red to show the item is connected to the power supply.

Does this and all other jumpstarters have the facility to plug straight into the mains without having to charge and store power. e.g. can I just plug into pains and use immediately to help start engines?

No sorry this product does not support that.

If this will power a 19inch TV, how long could it last?

Probably 45mins, although this is a relative estimation.

Very good product. Starts an 1800cc engine which has a completely flat battery several times without recharging. Naturally needs to be fully charged from new, but that's hardly a suprise since it's got a decent sized Lead Acid cell at it's core.

I'm afraid this product is not really up to the job. 1. the unit takes ages to charge on mains - 1 day - making it impractical for use while on the road when you only have overnight to charge. When you first buy it, the instructions require you to charge for 36 hours. 2. When charging on DC from my car, the unit appears to draw too much current and blows my 12v cigarrette lighter fuse when you use it with another accessory. moderator note: This is likely to be related to more than one item being used via the same circuit rather than this particular unit. 3. I'm on my second unit and yet again the mains charger has failed while on a trip making it unusable. 4. I also use it to power 12v accessories from mains but alas this appears to not be the case as it seems to cause the mains transformer to fail (especially when the battery is nearly empty). 5. The 12v DC charger is too brittle and easily damaged in the car as it sticks out of the front - this just breaks it when brushing up against other objects you are bound to be carrying. 6. The inverter switch is vulnerable at the back so it is easily switched on while in the boot of your car so the inverter will just drain the battery. This device is a great idea but a huge disappointment - i think it lacks any form of durable quality despite it being marketed as heavy duty.

Does exactly what it is designed for. Starting a near completely flat 1.9 Turbo Diesel in the 2010 big freeze was not an issue for this product. Compressor works well, not the fastest inflate, but useable and will get you out of trouble. The pressure gauge is not at all accurate so use a seperate pressure gauge if tyre pressures need to be right. The voltmeter is really useful to indicate when charge is low. The inverter works fine, though 200 watts is limiting. however, can charge your phone or laptop. Overall it performs better than the price would suggest.

A little disapointed in this, the gadgets are great, the usb has been very useful where the kids are concerned and the built in "inverter" works a treat. But the one area it let me down on was the jump start, just not enough power in the unit to turn over the larger size engine. Nice and compact.
