- Stop the humm in your speakers
- Provides superior audio performance
- Totally preserves your audio signal
- Breaks the electrical ground between audio components so there''s no path for current flow
- Compatible with all audio components
- Ideal for multiple amplifier installations
Speaker humm is most commonly caused by ground loops. When one audio component is connected to another, a path is provided for corrrent to flow - causing speakers to humm. Xitel''s Ground Loop Isolator is the fix for this problem and it installs in seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q- If I have a full P.A System and get a lot of humm from the speaker's , would i connect this ground loop isolator to the Cable that goes to the amp
- George
Answer- Assuming they have the relevant connection on them then yes the ground loop isolator should fit and should be a good choice for eliminating ground based hum.
Q- Hi, I have a low frequency hum from a sub, which I believe is caused by a ground loop. Assuming it is, will this cure the problem?
- A Boothroyd
Answer- Yes the product should cure a ground loop hum on a sub
Q- I get a crackling noise when I connect my laptop to any type of speaker/mixer (e.g. Powered mixing desk, PC speakers, Headphones) Would this product stop this crackling noise?
- Bob
Answer- Yes the product does support that.
Q- I bought a cable to go into the aux input on a hifi in order to connect devices (ipod/digital radio/laptop). It does work and the sound does come out, but there is a lot of hum/background noise. Would a Ground Loop Isolator at solve this problem?
- Jason Dixey
Answer- The ground loop isolator is unlikely to remove distortion or hum from a signal unless the hum/distortion is caused by a ground loop (ground noise is commonly found on mains connected items so if the items are mains connected then the isolator may help).
Q- would it have any negative effect on the music quality
- Blazing Riff
Answer- Any difference to signal quality would be negligable to the point of undetected.
Q- Hello, on your Ground Loop Isolator it says it has a frequency response of 20Hz - 20kHz. Does this mean that it stops any frequency over 20Khz or just doesn't filter it?
- Smeeble
Answer- It doesnt filter it
Q- Is there a version of the ground loop isolator that fits jack plugs ?
- Rick
Answer- unfortunately not but you could adapt the phono connectors to jacks using converters such as RW01B
Q- Does this product require it's own power supply?
- Matthew
Answer- This is not required
Q- I have a humm coming out of the speakers
- steve
Answer- There are no guarantees as such but a ground loop isolator should certainly help reduce if not remove amp hum.
Q- Should I connect this close to the speaker input or at thethe source end or doesn't it matter?
- Mark B
Answer- usually it is recommended to place it nearer to the source but is hsould not make a major difference to performance either way.
