Not bad, but not brilliant in HD mode, and virtually unwatchable in indoor lighting. But hey, it's cheap and cheerful. You must get a sd card for it as there is about 50 seconds HD recording on the internal memory. My 16gb SDHC card gives about 4 hours 27 mins in HD.

This camera proves to be 'what it says on the tin', just one small niggle though, there is no manual focus facility, which to most people would be irrelevant, however, if someone wishes to use this camera under reduced lighting (in a theatre for instance) the auto focus has a tendancy (as with all cameras on auto focus) to 'hunt' this is where the auto focus finds it hard to focus properly and blurrs the image for a few seconds, particularly during a change in lighting levels.
This camera for the price is brilliant, particularly now that YouTube can process full HD videos!

I was very hopeful for this little camera, but I am sorry to say I was very disappointed with it.
Looks and feels good, the viewfinder screen is large and clear and the touch screen navigation is easy to use, albeit there isn't much that can be changed using it.
The main problem is the picture quality is awful. Colours appear faded and dull, and the autofocus is temperamental at best.
Granted I was using it in relatively low light conditions, ie in my living room, however all the lights were on an the picture was still grainy at best. Might be OK for outdoor or bright light conditions, but utterly useless for my indoor needs.
The lack of a lens cover might also be an issue in the longer term.

I am very happy with this Camcorder - am using it with iMovie '09 on my Mac Pro. It is a good cheap alternative to buying a more expensive HD camera.
I would prefer to have a wider angle on the lens but I can get round that with a Universal Snap On Wide Angle Adapter. The video quality is good for the price.
