Answer- The ground loop isolator is suitable for studio work over short runs of cable, longer cable lengths may introduce larger amounts of RF noise - depending upon the environment it is placed in.

Answer- Yes this will work fine for home use. Sound quality will deteriorate a little, but this shouldnt be noticable.
Q- ok thanks, also where does it go? my amp has 4 RCA leads going into it but these are 2 split into 4. im guessing it connects between the 2 RCA connectors just before its split and connected to the input of the amp?
