Product Features

  • Run mains powered equipment from your car battery
  • Suitable for mobile phones, camcorders, AV equipment, laptops, TVs up to 19-inches, VCRs and portable work lights
  • 300 watts’ continuous power with 900 watts’ surge
  • Modified sine wave
  • Automatic alarm and shutdown protection against overload, over temperature and low-battery conditions
  • One three pronged UK mains grounded AC outlet
  • Quiet operation

Please note: Using the 12V cigarette lighter plug, maximum continuous load is 150W - this is due to the fact that most cigarette lighter sockets in cars are rated at a maximum of 15A. For 300W continuous operation, the invertor will need to be directly connected to the car battery. Both cigarette lighter socket and direct to battery connecting cables are supplied.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q- At full 300 watt continuous on how long will it take to drain a 12v car battery? - Joe Bloggs

Answer- You need to know the Ah (Amp Hour) rating of the battery first of all. But, the easiest way to work out how long a battery will last is by dividing the wattage being used by the 12V supplied. Here is an example using a 75Ah battery: 300W Divided By 12V = 25A. Dividing the Amp Hour of the battery by the Amps required gives you an approximation of how long it will last. So, 75Ah Divided By 25A = 3 Hrs. This is an approximation, as the battery voltage will drop as it runs flat, which means it won't power the invertor for the full amount of 3 Hrs.

Q- Will this product power an item with a motor or compessor in it or does it have to be a pure sine wave form to run these types of item. - martin

Answer- It does have to be a pure sine wave for those types of device so this item is unlikely to work in those cases i am afraid try looking at something like our order code A26JG or A27JG.

Q- what is the input current drawn from the 12v battery and what is the minimum/maximum input operating voltage to the unit - t.rodrigues

Answer- Input current drawn depends on current drawn from the inverter, the inverters are 90% efficient voltage requirements are 10v to 15v.

Q- can it be run by your 12v 1.5ah lead acid batrries - jamie a

Answer- I wouldnt advise it, you would need 30ah to last 1 hour at full load.

Q- Would I be able to run my car engine whilst I have this connected directly to the car battery, so I am still putting a charge into my car battery? - ged

Answer- Yes the product does support that.

Q- can you confirm for me does this device take normal 3 pin household plugs for your equipment - nick

Answer- Yes it does.

Q- Is this inverter ok to use outside in all weathers ie ip rated? - allen flay

Answer- Invertors are not for use outdoors. They are not IP Rated for Water or Dust ingress.

Q- if the inverter has no load on it does it still use current? - barny bloggs

Answer- Yes, this product does.

Q- can I use the inverter to run florescent lighting from a battery for my stables.. I have one double light and three singles. - fay

Answer- No sorry this product does not support that.

Q- At what voltage do the inverters alarms go off? - Gareth

Answer- Around 10.5V
