Worked great for me identifying a dodgy modular sata power link that had been intermittently crashing my computer. Instructions don't specify how to test pci-e connector but sticking in place of supplementary mb power connector seems to do the trick
Frequently Asked Questions
Q- Can I use this kit to test any Dell`s PSU.
- Patrick
Answer- Yes the product does support that.
Q- Can the PSU protection circuits be tested or just the votlage outputs?
- N. Wood
Answer- just the voltages on the connections are tested
Q- Is this simply a rebadged version of CaseBuy''s EZ Power Supply Tester 3?
I''m certainly looking forward to getting my paws on one of these - the blue model has saved me _so_ much hassle with "iffy" hardware at work.
- DynoRoddy
Answer- this is made by guiding technology but the technology behind it is pretty much the same.
Q- can this device test a tv power supply
- shaun taylor
Answer- this is unlikely unless a particular TV utilises the same conneciton design and voltages as a PC ATX power supply.
Q- Does this device simulate a load on the PSU. A simple multimeter will tell me if the required voltage is present. I need a device that will show what happens when the PSU is under load.
- Dave A
Answer- Unfortunately not, we do not sell a loading device.
