| If enviromental vibrations are picked up by a microphone, they may be amplified through a PA system (possibly causing damage to the speakers), or can ruin an otherwise-perfect recording. In discos, the vibrations can originate from the music being played. An answer to these ills is an anti-vibration microphone holder. This version consists of a central holder that is suspended from a steel frame by eight elasticated bands. The holder, which will hold standard-sized dynamic microphones in any position, fits to the stand by means of a standard thread.
