This is a fantastic tablet for the price. The screen response is smooth and I've had no issues with performance so far. I recommend the firmware upgrade straight away. There is no access to the android market out of the box but the built in applib has loads of apps available. I recommend installing Dolphin HD web browser as its much better that the stock android browser and plays flash. The full size USB port is great for file access. Only downside is it doesn't charge from USB, you have to use the mains adapter (included).

was going to buy two Kindles for my 14 and 12 yr old boys for Xmas but spotted these at Wimbledon store and thought this was a much better deal; the screen is MASSIVE 1024x600 bright clear responsive has USB and microSD Camera, wifi I stuck in a 16gig sd card (dirt cheap), installed Amazon Kindle app and bobs yer uncle. Last night I downloaded Flash and BBC iPlayer onto it and watched a program about Barnes Wallis and the Dam Busters whilst I cooked supper on iPlayer. The Kindle app is very cool and I love it, I also downloaded SoundHound and now every time I hear a song on the radio I can ID it right away. The photo app is very cool as well, almost as cool as the one on the iPad, does slide shows as well, in theory you could use this as a photo frame.. The built in browser is OK but like above I installed Dophin (and Opera) as they are much more functional. The email app is OK too but a good tip is to type out your email in portrait mode rather than landscape mode as ironically the keyboard is too wide longways for my little fingers. Overall I'm very pleased with this, it only has 4gig of space but as I keep all my apps/music/photos on the microSD then that's not an issue, the only issie will be if I can bear to hand it over to my boys at Xmas.. Oh and you might want to get some screen cleaners from Maplin!

This tablet is fantastic value. Do not hesitate to buy one. I cannot believe how good this is for the money (reduced until 24/12/11). I checked the spec and it’s about the same as my Archos 7 Internet Tablet which I love to bits but I was after something with a bigger screen. The touch screen is really responsive and whilst viewing angles aren’t fantastic (not really a problem on a tablet IMHO) the screen is bright and sharp. It takes a while to boot, but once up and running the Android 2.3 OS is fast and responsive. The Apps Library is very good and the device supports Flash so you can view You Tube and iPlayer Videos. If you want to use a keyboard and mouse for typing (using Note Everything or OfficeSuite from the Apps Lib) then Maplin do a great wireless keyboard and mouse set which works with the device (Stock Code: N69JX) as it has a full size USB port so you can plug in a dongle for a USB keyboard and mouse). One word of advice…upgrade the firmware before you do anything else. Upgrading the firmware wipes all your settings AND apps so get it done before you install anything else. You should stick in a 16GB Micro SD card too. From the Apps Lib I’d have a look at Dolphin Browser, Angry Birds (of course) and IM+. Bargain of the year so far for me. Wife wants one for Christmas!

What can I add that the others haven't already said? Very little. For the reduced price it's the bargain of the year. I was out looking for a tablet for primarily using to access my music video library stored on a Windows network. The major competitors to Maplin had nothing in store, well a 7" Android tablet for nearer £300, and Maplin was just across the car park, so I popped in purely on the off chance they had something. Can't fault the sales assistant, he couldn't have been more helpful. Any way, short story I purchased said Arnova 10 G2 without doing any background checking for general compatability etc. I was a wee bit disappointed to get it home and discover no official Android Market place, but 10 mins on Google got me a new ROM which is fully Market place ready, OK against warranty but its blindingly fast and does all I need it to. Onto the tablet itself, the screen is very impressive, bright, clear and very responsive. Battery life very good and so far it hasn't stuggled to play anything I have tried to play.

Happy with tablet,it is fast enough for casual browsing and email.i had to return a micro sd card as it would mount, tablet told me that it was damaged i am sure once i get replacement the card it will be fine
