Fire and CO Safety
Whether you're at home, in the office or even on holiday, safety is, quite rightly, the top priority for most people. Making sure you're prepared in the event of a fire and aware of silent and odourless hazards such as gas leaks are sensible steps to take wherever you are. Every home should have a smoke alarm: after all, this inexpensive investment could easily save your life. Modern smoke alarms use a variety of different kinds of technology in order to detect fires. Photoelectric alarms utilise a special kind of sensing technology that allows them to 'see' smoke, for example, while those with ionisation sensing chambers are excellent for fast flame detection. We also stock fire blankets, another incredibly useful piece of safety equipment to have around in case of emergency.
As well as smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors are another home safety must. Electrical monoxide detectors are best, and as they are battery operated they can be used anywhere – you can even take them with you on holiday.
