Great concept, but that's about it... Returned this product after just a few days. The keyboard/gyro mouse is a great little item, perfect for this sort of system. Sadly, the box itself was very lacking. Playback of video media from an external HDD had very poor sound quality. Couldn't put the HD to the test, so cannot comment. Gave up attempting to install apps as nothing seemed to work. Cant use BBC iPlayer (web or app), the same for ITV Player and 4oD. Web surfing was slow even with a cable connection to my router and a 40Mb fibre optic connection. Web browser very buggy and will 'hang' without warning. Give it a another year for mainstream manufacturers to give this idea a shot and we'll have something that's worth the money. Sadly this item is one of the first I've seen in the UK and it could have done with a bit more refinement.

Good little box. Before buying i did asked if it supported vob files and the answer was no, but it does and i now play all my dvd collection through this unit. Neat little keyboard takes a bit of getting used to. Trying to find a apk file for android market that works with this unit as most fail to install.

Firstly the negatives :

The unit run's on android 2.2, but as far as i've tried, can't install any additonal apps from android market place. No firmware update currently available. There was a lip sync issue when running video over my network off a PC, which was also running other processor hungry programs. Problem cleared up when PC was idle. Problem ceased once connected to an idependent Network Attached Storage server.

Flash support is version 9 lite, so can't play iplayer, 4Od, etc

The unit I purchased apeared to have been opened, and batteries missing, so was not new, but came with 12 months gurantee. Think the item is clearance.

Now for the pro's: Neat box, all of the apps run fine. Youtube works great. The remote with gyro mouse is fantastic. Brower works fine, but can be slow compared with a pc, but i'm not complaining, being able to surf on my 42 inch LCD is a bonus. Apears to play all of my media files so far.

The remote does need some getting used to, but, all of the buttons are logicaly laid out, once you have learn't the remote, its fast to use.

I bought the media player so I could stop having to use memory sticks through my blu ray player. Now have all of my media playing over my network. The browser and Youtube was a big bonus. Great bit of technology for the price, as now reduced. Hoping for firmware updates in the future, and the ability to load new apps.

When I purchased this I thought the interface would be similar to my phone as its android 2.1 but it's totally different. The browser is slow and keeps complaining about site certificates. Is there a way round this? Saying that there is an upgrade path so hopefully they will address these issues in the near future. It's also a great idea so I'm giving it 3 stars for that.
