DVI-D is a digital interface that supports up to 1080p resolution, and is video only, without audio support. Dual Link DVI doubles the number of TMDS pairs, effectively doubling the video bandwidth. As a result, higher resolutions are supported.
Please note - DVI-D does not support analogue output, and is incompatible with DVI-A and VGA. This cable is commonly used to connect PCs with DVI-D sockets.
