This high quality cable can be used for either audio interconnects or as a speaker cable. It comprises an inner conductor of 1/0.5mm OFC Copper plated with 80µin silver stranded with xx/0.12mm OFC Copper plated with 40µin silver. This is encased in a PEF insulation which is covered with a braid of OFC Copper wires plated in 40µin silver. This cable exploits the phenomenon of skin effect by using individually silver plated strands of copper wire. Skin effect describes the tendency of ultrahigh frequencies to be conducted on the surface of the wire as opposed to through the wire s total profile. The lower resistance of silver over copper ensures optimum transmission of theses ultrahigh frequencies. The sheath is an attractive pearlescent silver PVC.
