Q: Can I check stores availability online?
A: maplin.co.uk does have the added benefit of checking all of our store stocks online. If you would like to use this feature you will need to be in the product page for the item you would like to check.

Once you have found the product you want to check, you can use the "Check Stores Stock" button located to the right of the main product image. This will open a new window where you can enter your Town/City or Postcode to chweck your local store's stock. From here you can then decidee whether to visit the store or continue with a purchase online.

Please Note: We recommend that you contact the store prior to your journey to avoid disappointment as stores stock figures are only updated every 24hrs.

Q: Can I reserve items online to pick up at a Maplin Electronics store?

A: Yes, maplin.co.uk does have the facility to reserve goods online to be picked up at stores.
Reserve at Store - Another way to get your orders from Maplin Electronics. Over 15,000 products available to reserve.

A simple way to check stock, the latest prices and reserve products at your local store.
Reserve at Store is available on all items via the main website, Mobile website and the Maplin iPhone App from our UK stores.

If the items you want to reserve are in stock at the desired store location, they will usually be available for collection within 20 minutes and held until the end of the next working day.
 

Any item not in stock at the store today can usually be ordered for you from our warehouse, to collect from the store within 3 working days. See Collect at Store for more details.
 

How to complete Reserve at Store online:

Add to basket

Use the buy/reserve button to add items to your basket from the product pages. Please note – Reserve at Store is only available for stores located in the United Kingdom.

Pick Reserve at Store

In your basket select the ‘Reserve at Store’ option.

Check stock

Enter your postcode or the location, and follow the on-screen prompts until you are presented with the 10 nearest stores. We use a colour coding key to provide further information about your order. Stores are shown along with the availability of the items you'd like to reserve (see the key below), choose your preferred store to continue and select the choose this store button to proceed.

Store & Stock Availability Key:

Green   : All items should be available

Orange : Some items should be available

Red       : None of the items are available

Grey      : Not available at this location

Reserve

Confirm the item(s) and quantity listed in the ‘Reserve at Store – Availability’ panel are correct. Then in the ‘Reserve at Store - Your Details’ panel, enter your name, email address (mandatory) and mobile telephone number for the optional free SMS notification and select the 'confirm' button to complete your stock reservation of your items at your chosen store.
We will send you an confirmation email / SMS usually within 20 minutes once we have collected the items for your stock reservation. Shop with confidence, the personal information you provide (name, email and mobile telephone number) will not be used to send you any promotional marketing material.

Collect & Pay

Take your reservation number with you when you visit the store where you’ll be able to pay for and collect your items.

Maplin Far East Operations was first established in 1992 due to the increase in the purchasing of items from Taiwan followed by Hong Kong and China.


To strengthen buying power, the Maplin Electronics set up its first Far Eastern branch office in Taipei, Taiwan. The office is in charge of product sourcing, purchasing, inspecting, shipping & payment arrangement from Taiwan and is now the Far East Operations Centre.
