The
Home Page
The homepage is the starting
point of shopping, and browsing on the Maplin Electronics
web site. From the homepage you are able to browse through
all of our products by selecting any of the Worlds or
the items featured on the front page. |
The
homepage also contains links to promotional offers, the
store locator, employment vacancies, competitions, 'My
Account' and much more. At any point whilst browsing our
web site, you can return to the homepage by clicking on
the 'Home' link on the left hand side (see image on the
right), or on the Maplin Electronics logo in the top left
corner of your screen.

How
do I search for a product?
There are several way to search for
products on the Maplin web site. You have the option of
either browsing our online catalogue, with the addition
of all of our products added to menus to narrow down your
search. Or you can search for specific products using
the search engine, our A to Z menu, or filter.
Browse
On every page of the Maplin web site
you will find a selection of 'Worlds' (product categories).
When you select one of the worlds, you will be presented
with list of categories to narrow your search further.

After selecting the desired 'World', you will then be
shown a broad range of products that fit within that genre.
To see a more specific range of products in the same world,
select one of the categories from the menu on the left
hand side (as shown).
Selecting additional sub-categories
will further narrow your search.
This method of searching
is ideal if you are not quite sure what the name of a
particular product is, or in cases where you would like
to browse the products from a particular category/world.
Search Tool
If you have some knowledge of the product
you are searching for, often the most efficient way of
locating that product is by using the 'search' tool located
at the top right of each page. |
By
default, the search tool is set to search the entire site
based on the terms that you provide. If you wish to narrow
your search please select the appropriate category from
the drop-down menu below before click the 'search' button. |

A
to Z Menu
Navigating the Maplin Electronics
site is also possible with our A
to Z menu, if you know exactly what you are looking
for then this may help you find the products you are looking
for.

How
do I check the latest prices and stock availability?
Below the details for every item you
will find a live information banner (see example below)
which gives details of the latest price (including any
promotional discount), the current stock level, and the
relevant order code.

AND MAY NOT REPRESENT THE CURRENT PRICE AND STOCK LEVEL
Maplin Electronics occasionally distribute
HTML and Text Newsletters to our subscribers giving details
of the latest offers and savings available. To receive
these offers you would first need to register
with us, after which you will be given the opportunity
to preview the current newsletter before you sign up.
This 'Example
Newsletter' link can be found at the very bottom of
the home page.

know the order codes for the item(s) I would like to order,
is there a faster way than using the search option? |
If you already know the Maplin order code of the product(s)
you’re interested in, then our Quick
order facility is ideal for you. Simply click on the
contact us button at the top of the screen, a menu will
then appear on the left hand side of the page. You should
be able to see a category that says Quick
Order click on this link, and then the page will then
open. To fill in the form enter all of the Maplin order
codes and then the quantity, then click ‘Add to
Basket ’ button.

All
of the products will then be added to your basket and
you will be taken straight to the Basket
Page. From there you can make any amendments, decide
if you would like to continue browsing the Maplin site
or proceed to the Checkout to order
your goods.
