Can
I check on the site if there is a Maplin Electronics store near
me?
There is the feature of checking where your
nearest Maplin Electronics store is on the maplin.co.uk site.
To use this feature you will firstly need to be on the home
page. If you are not already on the home page you can either
click on the Maplin Electronics logo in the top left hand corner
of the page, or by clicking on the home link, which available
on certain pages (see example below).
The two circled icons will take you to
the homepage once they have been clicked.
Once you are on the home page
you will need to scroll down the page, until on the left hand
side of your screen you can see six sub menus. Click on the
'Maplin Stores Locator' button and wait for the page to load.
Once this page has loaded, you
will see the option to search for your nearest store in three
different ways:
- Town / Postcode search
- Region
- View All
Town / Postcode Search
If you would like to find your nearest Maplin
Electronics store by a specific town, or by a postcode, within
its closest distance this search would be the most ideal for
you. After you have clicked on the Maplin Stores Locator, and
the page has loaded you will need to enter the town/postcode
of where you would like to search. You will need to enter these
details in the box provided on the right hand side from the
UK map.
Once you have entered your postcode/town click
on the green 'Search' button underneath the box. This will then
automatically open a new window for you and display the top
ten stores within your search and the distance in miles away
from you. If you would then like to view the details for that
store click on the shops name, this will then give you all the
details for this store.
Alternatively if you would like to do another
search then you can enter the postcode or the towns name in
the search box at the bottom of the page.
Region
Regional search will list all of the stores
in alphabetical order within that area. To view different regions
you will firstly need to load the 'Maplin Stores Locator' from
the main site. Once this page has loaded you will see a UK map,
which has been split and numbered. There is a key to the right
hand side of the map giving the name of each region.
For example if you would like to view all
of the stores within the London area you can either click on
the UK map within region 8, or click on '8. London' under the
key. This will then load a new page, showing you all of the
Maplin Electronics stores within London. If you would like to
view further details on a specific store click on the shops
name.
View All
View all will show every Maplin Electronics
store we currently have open, to view all the Maplin Electronics
stores click on the 'Maplin Store Locator' on the homepage,
once this has loaded click on the 'view all' link under the
'By region' on the right hand side of the Store Locator page.
If you would like further details on any of
the stores listed, hover your cursor over the stores name and
then click on the title.

Can
I check stores availability online?
maplin.co.uk does have the added benefit of
checking all of our store stocks online. If you would like to
use this feature you will need to be in the module page for
the item you would like to check.
Once you are in the page you will need to
scroll down to the part of the page where you have the option
to add the item to your basket. Just underneath that option
there, there is some text saying 'To
find nearest store, please select product and enter postcode'.
Select the product from the scroll down list to the right of
the text and then add either your town or your postcode and
then click 'go' (see example below).
This will then open a new window, and give
you a list of the first ten closet stores to you, their stock
level, and their distance to you in miles. If you would like
further information on that specific store you can then click
on the stores name.
