can I get more information/help about products featured on the
Maplin Electronics web site?
There are several ways to get more technical
information about products featured on the maplin.co.uk site.
- FAQ's

DESIGN OF YOUR EQUIPMENT OR THE REDESIGN OF MAPLIN PROJECTS.
WE ARE ALSO UNABLE TO OFFER THE SERVICE ON PRODUCTS IF THE KIT
HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED FOR OVER ONE YEAR.
FAQ's
You can read all of the answered FAQ's that
have been submitted to the Maplin Electronics web site, to view
the FAQ page on a particular product you will need to go the
module of the item you wanted to read an FAQ on.
For example if you were looking to view all
of the questions about a specific Gas Soldering Iron, you would
first find the module by using the product search
and searching under description, or by order code. Once you
have found the product, click 'More Information' to display
the main product page.
To view questions from other customers, click
the 'FAQs' tab located below the main product image.
If you would like to ask out technical team
a questions that has not yet been answered, click the 'Submit
Question' button.
The Maplin technical team aim to respond to
all submitted FAQ questions within 24 hours.
Email
If you have a more in depth technical question
you would like to ask our technical department, you can email
them at technical@maplin.co.uk
with your question. Please try to keep technical queries
separate from any other enquiry or order.
We aim to respond to all emails within 48
hours of receiving you email.
Telephone
Our technical support line is open from 9am
to 6pm Monday to Friday. The technical help line endeavor to
answer any questions you have on any of our products. If an
answer is not readily available then we will ask for a contact
telephone number and call you back once an answer has been obtained.
The contact telephone number is 0906 302 1353,
these calls are charged at £0.50 sterling per minute (BT
Rate). You must obtain permission from the telephone account
holder before using this service.
Fax
Alternatively you can fax us your technical
query to 0870 429 6001, and clearly mark it for the technical
department.
We aim to answer any technical queries within 2 working days
of receiving the fax.
