Our 12 V soldering irons provide a low 25W soldering output and are designed for work from a 12V car battery. If you need to perform soldering activities on-the-move, choose from Maplin’s portable battery-operated soldering irons or self-igniting gas torches that operate solely on butane gas. Our mains-powered soldering irons offer a range of outputs ranging from 12W to 40W, and are ideal for light duty surface mounted devices and PCB soldering jobs that do not require too much heat.
Maplin’s temperature-controlled soldering stations have an adjustable range and come equipped with LCD screen for clear and convenient temperature reading in °C or °F. These solder stations are a low-cost option for individuals working on budget equipment, as well as for general electronic and electrical repairs.
