This tiny camera is designed for undetected surveillance. It transmits high quality colour images during the day and switches automatically to black and white mode at night to enable monitoring during the dark.
NOTE: The camera requires a waterproof housing to protect it from the elements if used outdoors.

The focus of the lens can be made suitable for very close work by unscrewing the tiny screw in the lens housing. The lens will screw out further from the sensor efectively reducing the good focus field. I have not tried the extrem of this but currently have cameras set from 6 inches to 18 inches. Of course this does make distant focus very poor.
If used in a box , bird or hedgehog etc focus needs to be set when building which makes these cameras ideal.
