Does the camera record in daylight without the light coming on?

Yes the product does support that.

Can you put a 150W lamp in the light instead of 500W

This is not something the unit was designed to connect to so we could not guarantee it would work correctly I am afraid.

Does the security light with camera/video come in white as well as black?

This option is not included

Where is the camera?

The camera is located below the light

When the SD memory card or internal memory gets full will new imgages automatically overwrite the oldest image for continuous recording or must you empty the memory to start recording all over again?

This would need to be cleared manually.

Are the product setup and time/date settings retained after a power cut, or does the product reset back to default? If so how long is this information retained with the power off.

These are automatically retained for a few minutes.

How do you access the SD card?

This can be accessed through a USB cable to the computer or you can remove the card and place it in a card reader

the unit can be set to either stop when full or loop and overwrite data.

Is this unit weatherproof? That is, can it be used outside with no canopy over it?

I can see you can take out the SD card to get the recorded pictures off it but how do you get the images off the internal memory?

The unit has a built in USB socket for data transfer from internal memory

What is max sd card unit can take ?

This will take up to a 2gb card.

I'd agree with all the other reviewer said but would like to add something worth noting. I put one up about three months ago but the light stopped working about a week ago and now the camera's died too. I have just pulled it down and replaced it - disappointing.

Security PIR Lighting Camera. The instruction manual lists the camera as only accepting 1Gb SD card but 2Gb can be used.

The PIR can only be moved horizontally independent of the light. When the floodlight is tilted so is the PIR.

The LCD is a little awkward to view when setting up as well.

Images are good in photo mode but of limited usability in video mode due to its resolution.
