I've had this PSU for a couple of years now and have found it very useful. I don't need more than 0.1v accuracy. It has current limiting capability and I plan to use this to simulate a solar cell output, there is also an open/close switch on the output. Nice, simple clear output, all in all very good.
A superb unit and great value. Stability is first rate - has been powering an experimental circuit all day taking greatly varying currents and the output voltage has remained rock solid. Output on/off switch is a very useful addition.
I use this equipment for running 'O' gauge model railways - some of them 'vintage' Hornby which require 20v AC. The unit copes well and has never let me down - others with similar interests use them very successfully. The unit lets us know if someone is running a 'rogue' item drawing more current than it should! Good value for money.
Nicely constructed with a clear LCD. Setting of voltage is a little vague and current setting isn't retained when switched off but when set works very well.
I use the power supply for various home projects, it works very well, no problems so far. The current limiter is a very usefull feature it saves things being "cooked" if you get your wiring wrong. Also great for charging nicads or nimh batterys.
Excellent piece of kit - I use it as a power supply for 'O' gauge vintage electric trains!
This is a great little power supply with wide ranges and clear indication. The display is backlit and enables the user to set the values without the unit outputting. However, it cannot supply below 1 volt. It has an easily accessible power switch on the back and includes a carry handle. All in all, a very accurate and quality product, but could be designed a bit better.
Excellent delivery - within 24 hours of placing order. The unit is smaller than I expected. A professional looking piece of kit. Very easy to use. I particularly like the output on/ off switch. Very useful. At the special price, anyone looking for a bench power supply could not do better than this.
These units certainly look the part and take up a small bench surface footprint. Two fit side by side very well. It would be better if they course and fine voltage and current controls so they could be set more easily to within one tenth of a volt or a fraction of an amp. The two units I bought are only two serial numbers apart but the LEDs that illuminate the screen have noticably different brightness which spoils their look when both are on side by side. Each comes with 1m long black and red connecting leads with insulated crock clips on one end and banana plugs on the other. They also have a 2m mains lead. The mains ON/OFF switch is on the back panel and a steel tab with a 6mm hole is provided so they can be secured to the bench in locations where they may be stolen. I got mine in the January Sale 2011 which was a real bonus.
This is absolutely top notch; a beautifully compact, and functional, bench power supply.
