Tryed many hdmi splitters from ebay none worked. Pluged in worked from the box. Feed from a satelite box. To my home cinema system. For the main display. Then to the bed room via a cat6 hdmi extender. It's remote feed back. Well worth the money.
HDMI Splitter that works
Simple product that works great. Have split a sky HD to a plasma TV and cinema projector via 10m cables, works perfectly. Relies on detecting the bi-directional power sources, so if using an audio visual switching device for multiple inputs/output devices (Blue Ray, Sky, Video, PS Consoles etc) make sure it is switched to the correct source to allow device to detect it. Worth the money and will buy another to split other sky box in house.
Simple to set up. Does the job splitting the Sky signal to to different TVs.
plugged it in and it just worked, simple as that!
I have a Virgin+ box and needed to send signal to a TV and a Projector (using a 10m cable). Plugged in and worked straight away. Excellent picture quality on both devices. Thoroughly recommend.
After having experienced a problem with a cheaper type of this item sold through ebay which kept dropping its signal on a 15m cable. I then came across this little gem from Maplin. I had read a previous review which warned of buying cheap buy twice! Wish I had seen this review earlier it would have saved me so much hassle. It worked instantly straight out of the box took only second to connect up and hasn`t put a foot wrong since. I also like the way it lights up its active feeds with led so you know exactly what the unit is doing. Great little box of tricks well done Maplin !
I am seriously impressed with these little boxes. I'm daisy-chaining them to send video to three 1080p 42in screens over a total distance of 40m around a theatre auditorium. All screens are visible together, so lag or errors would be noticeable... there is none. Video is perfect, even on the most distant screen. The theatre is an electrically noisy environment, so I'm using very high-quality cables. Set-up was plug-and-play - the whole rig was easier than I dared hope. Great.
Good product once working, but my first purchase had difficulty sensing and switching on each output stream. The product has no buttons and relies on automatically sensing an input signal to work. I got a replacement which so far works fine with 5m HDMI cables to two HD flat screen sets.
Bought this to send sky tv to bedroom via a 15m hdmi lead, signal comes out of the sky box and is split between tv in the lounge and the bedroom, bought a cheap one on eBay which didn't work. I decided to give this a go and I'm so glad I did, works perfectly picture is very good, also the audio is very good. Don't buy cheap in eBay, get one of these.
I bought this on the strength of the other reviews, and the fact that similar other products have had poor reviews. This splitter works seemlessly without any issues between my Samsung and Sony televisions. The picture quality is far superior than using scart from my Sky box. Both televisions seem to work fine at the same time without any issues. I recommend this product.
