The Humax HDR-2000T is a feature-packed set top box (STB) that receives all Free to Air HD digital TV channels via the Freeview service.

It is a DTR (digital television recorder), bursting with recording, multimedia, home-networking and on-demand services for the ultimate subscription-free TV experience. Simply plug the HDR-2000T into your HD-ready TV to enjoy 4 high definition (HD) channels, as well as access to up to 50 Freeview standard definition TV channels and 24 radio channels.

With the Humax Freeview HDR-2000T 500 GB you can record up to 300 hours of standard definition (SD) TV programmes or up to 125 hours of high definition (HD) TV, which can be selected from an easy to view electronic programme guide (EPG). The 8 day EPG allows you to plan your future viewing, by using the remote control you can simply highlight the channel and show you wish to record and press the record button. Now you can record an entire series at the touch of a button. When you select a show for recording, series recording will give you the option to record the whole series, so all the episodes of your favourite show will be saved automatically. The twin digital tuner allows you to record two programmes simultaneously; you can even watch one channel whilst recording another.

Will it work through a sky dish and no aireal

Asked by: Big al
This will require a feed from a aerial.

Does this unit require a separate feed from an aerial.  If so, can it utilise a 'splitter box', or must it have a dedicated feed. Signal strength is variable, it having to 'come' over the Wash. Will series recordings fail, if one fails due to signal loss

Asked by: roadrunner
This will require a feed from the aerial, but whether a splitter would be suitable would be down to the signal strength in your area.
