Rated 1 out of 5 by from Progressively failed after 18 months without any indication - lights still functioning normally. Reset to no avail. Eventually read another reviewer's comments about overheat and, yes, mine was unquestionably warm. Replaced it and data transfer immediately reliable and a tenfold increase in speed. Why can't manufacturer make poor performance, as opposed to total failure, show itself? It's absence and the fact that partial failure can occur earns a single star. Wonder how it differs from GS105? Will ring manufacturer tomorrow and see about replacement!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Completely easy in every respect. Sadly the previous one failed after 18 months approx. Seems to be something to do with Gigabits and overheating problems. Am trying this version (v3) to see if the same thing happens Netgear tech support are aware and did indeed replace the faulty v2. Can only give the previous one 3 stars because of this problem. 5 stars for Netgear tech support...
