Rated 5 out of 5 by from for myself the picture quality is good because I am not alays veiwing from the same postion you can change the appearence of the picture at a touch of a button as I use this for my work as a TV Aerial installer with the use of a external battery pack I can setup aerial position on roof using signal level from TV info I have not used the USB but have tried the SMD to view photos This was a replacement of my previous TV damage beyond repair I find this unit far better a would recomend it to anyone you could not go far wrong. I also install CCTV systems and use the TV to set up the cameras as said before this TV gives me all in one useage for what I need an excellent product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is an excellent little portable television for use in the car or home, as both power adaptors are provided. I wanted a cheap monitor for a PVR in the home cinema to save powering up the projector for just a few minutes programming. This fits the bill perfectly and was superb value in the recent Maplin sale. The picture quality is better than I expected, and the audio was as I expected (tinny inevitably due to small speakers). Remember, although the TV is small the tuner isn't any more sensitive than a full size TV, so don't expect the attached aerial to work unless you live under a transmitter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an amazing piece of kit!! The supplied telescopic aerial isn't up to much (surprised? I wasn't), but an AverMedia aerial (came with a PC USB TV card) worked very well, but my home external aerial worked fantastically. The SD slot actually recognises a 4Gb bog standard Sandisk card and DivX5 encoded AVI. Sound via the internal speakers is great and the screen is crystal clear and well defined on the DTV tuner. It holds the DTV stations after being unplugged for some time, though it seems to lose Date and Time the odd time, but this doesn't affect functionality at all. Mp3 playback and Photo display, simultaneously if you like, Movies from SD card, USB stick or Hard Drive, this is the ultimate MultiMedia device. Haven't checked the AV In/Out yet, but I've owned Nikkai before so I'll take it as read it'll work fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No problems and happy. Connected to A57CW aerial (chimney mounted) and picture is fine, even in poor signal area (Aberdeen). I use this mainly as a display screen for multimedia amp, rather than outputting to plasma. Pity that it doesn't have an HDMI in, but at 7" and non-HD that can't really be expected. Perhaps my only criticism is that there isn't much connectivity (digital/S-vid/etc) however given the size of the TV, this isn't unexpected. There is a sterio plug connector that allows inputs from other devices, however, again, this gives only limited connectivity (s-video or similar would be useful). All-in-all if you want a small display that can double as a portable TV then this will do the trick. I wasn't able to receive anything on the telescopic antenna, but that was to be expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the kitchen etc while preparing meals, portable obviously. Just at the moment we are on the edge of transmitter ranges, so I can only get reception in certain rooms I am told signal strength will increase when we go fully digital in about 3 weeks. Otherwise, a happy bunny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a fantastic set, I purchased it with a mini DVB T Aerial to use after the digital switchover. Previously I have used Roadstar units only with the telescopic aerial for use in kitchen and study. Reception on these meant forever fidling with the telescopic mount. However, this digital set with freeview is superb, all channels tuned in and picture quality great. Certainly recommend. Good price on offer too.

set is stuck on AV mode and will not change , is there a reset button or a way of fixing this?, the remote will only work for volume and menu but will not let me select anything from the menu

Asked by: marcsmall
This sounds like there may be an internal fault, however physical examination would be best to diagnose. If you have a local store we would recommend taking the unit in where they can perform this in store for you. If this is not possible we may be able to assist further by phone or email. Please contact us on the details below if you require this assistance: 0333 400 9500 or email

Can this be hooked up to a sky box

Asked by: Rendaridra
This unit does have a composite AV input cable (triple phono) which will allow connection to external equipment. As long as the model of Sky box has either a composite phono or SCART type output you should be able to connect to this TV with the correct cable.
