i was a bit skeptical about using the bluetooth handsfree in my Peugeot 306 Cabriolet for wind noise when the roof's down. but this has no affect on the mic, there is no feedback, and also had no problems reading a 16GB SDHC card (Order Code: N64GJ) which holds more then enough music for long journeys. Also being A2DP compliant allows me to a also play movies on my tablet in the back for the kids, and all of us to enjoy the soundtrack through the car stereo.
very fast at coming and very easy to install blue tooth features are great and easy to use
Was a bit skeptical about this when I bought it but it turns out to be great. Good quality, well put together, sounds good and the bluetooth works well - easy to install too. Only slight criticism is amp output could be a bit higher as it is running on almost full power when playing sd cards but overall it is a surprisingly good piece of kit.
A surprisingly well made piece of kit. The removable fascia is ten times better quality than some of the 300 quid plus units that I was looking at. Also the unit looks stylish and doesnt really look like a retro fit in my car. Sound quality - in a word, superb. This was very surprising and unexpected, it replaced an original equipment alpine unit and the Nikkai sounds just as good! If there is any slight criticism, it has to be that it could do with just a tad more power in the amp.
Looks - I think the display colour is fantastic and really classy, gives a nice ambience during night driving and is really clear during the day.
Really easy to install, took me literally 10 mins and it was working and paired with my mobile. Now the bad bit - the bluetooth is not at all impressive, it sounds very clear through the cars speakers but the person on the other end has great difficulty hearing you, it picks up too much background noise to be really effective. There needs to be more scope for altering the sensetivity of the mic within the setup menu. That aside, this set is really good value for money but if you are not bothered about the bluetooth, then I would reccommend going for the model without it as its cheaper.
Purchased in store (stoke) took 25 minutes to remove old radio and 5 minutes to install this one. so easy, Worked first time and looks smart. Brilliant functions and so easy to set up bluetooth, my mobile now goes handsfree "automatically" as I get in the car. Sounds good and crisp plenty of volume. MP3 from usb doggle Brilliant. Only one small moan... cant dim display and it is bright... still give it 10/10
Great radio and a terrific price ( B Grade but none the worse for that except for the lack of an instruction booklet). The Bluetooth connection instructions on-line were slightly incorrect (there isn't a pairing button - it's automatic) but on the whole it was straight forward fit and works a treat. The bluetooth hands free is superb (main reason I went for this model) and the sound is really clear. I fitted it in a classic Merc 300SL and with the "top off" it's still nice and clear. Would recommend :) If there had been instructions in the box I would have given it 5 stars - I think it deserves 4 1/2
excellent sound with no distortion through 11 year old standard Mazda speakers at full blast. SD card takes Mini SD's in an adapter too and works great as does my Sony Ericsson C905 with its bluetooth. I bought the B gradeas it was cheaperf - the box was crumpled a bit, perfect inside. Maplin also gave me ?ú3 off because I sign up to their offers emails so got it for a much cheaper cost including delivery instead of the full priced unit. As you'll have read, the screen is bright and it's not dimmable. I'm going to look for a piece of screen tint or biker's helmet visor tint to stick over it which is a shame to do to an otherwise excellent piece of kit at a great price. Support is great too, quick turn around on questions.
Nice unit, ticks all the boxes for radio, cd, mp3, usb, and sd card features, oh and bluetooth too. Pros;- good sound from cd and other mp3 sources, good security with removable front, easy to operate, bluetooth for hands-free phone use with integral mic'. Con's (IMHO);- average radio reception quality in Vauxhall's even with an aerial booster fitted, is not flush with centre console - but stands proud 7-8mm, plasticky feel to the front removable unit - feels like it would damage easily.
Fitted easily, except that the depth of the unit made it difficult to ram all the wires and ISO sockets into the back of the apperture on my 2003 Boxer motorhome. Radio & USB good, Bluetooth easy to set up, sounds good to the called phone, but output to speakers is quiet, needing to turn vol up - and remember to turn down before the radio comes on. Haven't tried CD's yet.
An excellent bit of kit, although I haven't road tested it yet! Just a precautionary note - I had to do some surgery on the wiring to connect to my old camper van. I double checked everything but when I powered it up the panel lights fashed rapidly like there was an error. Panic stricken for a few minutes until I discovered that all this means is that the aerial isn't plugged in! As soon as I attached the aerial lead it worked normally and beautifully. Hope this saves a few tears for other lucky purchasers.
