This is a great little DVD & USB stick player. Because it's not Blu-Ray there is no CINAVIA protection and it will play anything very well.
Nice little bit of kit. Does exactly what it says and at a reasonable price. Delivery was really quick, too!
Great little machine for the price, even accepts a 16gb memory stick without any problems...
the photo that Maplin uses is not whats in the box, The one I got is black and is the same size but looks nothing like the one advertised..but it looks like Maplin have used the photo of the black one to show the back of the DVD. moderator note: the image has since been updated
Apart from the colour and layout on the front It is a brilliant little DVD and does what it says on the tin.
First Class Servic, product, delivery, and backup , 5 stars.
Delivery quick, product very good no complaints very pleased
Good spec for player, but remote control absolutely useless at home. Maplin replaced the unit originally bought but remote control still iffy at home. both remotes worked reasonably well in store. Yes, I removed the battery tab and held the remote 10 inches from the receiver. If the remote is important to you give this item a miss.
a very good product
I am now on my second player. DVD is ok but for files I've been told that if the player cannot play a file from a pen drive properly that it could be too large. The sound goes out of sync. Play sometimes stops. I have tried 800mb file size and the thing still falls over. Am going to return tomorrow and insist that the player is unfit for purpose. I guess for price - you get what you pay for. moderator note: if the files are correctly encoded into one of the supported codecs then sync and playback issues should not be a problem. it is recommended to ensure that the files being used are correctly encoded into a supported format
Not the greatest DVD player in the world. Having said that, this is the second one of these I've purchased simply for all the formats it covers. For the price, I don't mind replacing it every 3 or 4 years. The one weakness is that the remote control is pretty useless if your more than about 5 feet away, otherwise a good value for money product.
Absolutely delighted with this cheap but efficient replacement for my older model, this also gives me more types of disc to play

do this player support subtitle files like .srt?
Would this player work mounted flat on a wall behind a wall mounted LCD TV (assuming clearance was OK)? If the remote is not wireless but IR I was going to sort a very small mirror to handle that. Is this all a possibility?
Will this run off a 12v car socket and if so, is there a suitable lead supplied? Ta
