PC on TV uses wireless secure technology, removing the need for cabling and also features a 10/100 Ethernet port to offer support for high bandwidth gaming and streaming users. The unit also features a USB port to attach a wireless keyboard. PC on TV has low power consumption and is Energy Star compliant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good unit, if a little slow between PC and TV responses. Can be installed manually for Win XP with supplied CD (linking existing WiFi to the unit if you have one can be a pain. If first timer then linking may be easier through Windows WiFi application). But beware NO HDMI cable supplied, (only unit and power cable supplied) so you will need to buy one as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one of the best systems for wireless video and adding hdmi usabliaty to nearly any wifi enabled device, I'm struggling to find anything it doesn't work with, solved so many issues! and for wireless video, the image is very good. only limitation is that as it uses the wifi adapter of the device in question. making the internet access difficult while attached. Thats a small price to pay though for such a good system

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a good product as indeed it does allow you to watch any movie even those which require adobe but cannot transfer to your TV- Which is why a bought it. Its better than a smart TV because you can control as if its you pc- read emails browse internet EVERYTHING -its a mirror of you TV. You can connect it wirelessly but you will need a static line from your network provider, also need a wireless mouse and keyboard to control your TV- quite cheap now. There is a slight lag depends on how fast your connection is mines normal TalkTalk. Also remember if you watch YouTube it will be blown-up to big screen so expect some adjustment and slightly fuzzy edges -buts you can play dvd on your drive and watch on big screen for a clearer picture.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This was not easy to set up still cant get it to work. I would not recommend for people who do not have a good working knowledge of networks, Had problems converting from HDMI to VGA with various cables. Unit would not consistently get a new IP or work on WiFi.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I bought this ФЗЈPC on TVФЗШ so that I could show and control my XBMC media centre on both the living room and kitchen TVФЗЦs. Upon opening the box I pleasantly was surprised at how small the unit it and also noted the good quality build. The PC on TV can be used with either a LAN cable (recommended) or Wi-Fi. As I donФЗЦt have a LAN in the kitchen I wanted to use the Wi-Fi option. The PC on TV broadcasts itself as a wireless access point which you connect to from your PC. This is where my installation woes started. My PC is running Windows 8.1 and when you try and connect wirelessly to the PC on TV you are prompted for the wireless WPA2 security key. By default this key is blank but Windows 8 wonФЗЦt let you submit a null password. After speaking with the friendly SiteCom support desk (35p per minute + standard network charges), I would either have to lower the network security settings in Windows 8 or set up the PC on TV over LAN first, change the WPA security key in the admin panel and then connect with Wi-Fi. I opted for the latter. From there on the installation was pretty straight forward. It automatically lowered my PC screen resolution to 800x600 and I had to increase it again as all my currently open windows were ФЗЈoff screenФЗШ. The next issue I found was that in Windows 8 the audio is not transmitted to the PC on TV unit. On start-up, you are prompted to install VAC.exe (Virtual Audio Cable) and to insert the CD-ROM containing the install file. This file is NOT on the supplied PC on TV installation disc. ItФЗЦs a virtual audio device and you can download it from the internet but it costs about $25. Fortunately there is a trial so I could set it up first before buying. This is where I hit a brick wall. I found VAC to be very complicated to configure and for love nor money, I could not get it to work and having the audible words ФЗЈTrail!ФЗШ played every minute was annoying. I have another PC running Windows 7 and I did a test install which went a lot smoother. Big difference being is that audio works natively with no need to install additional virtual audio drivers. I downgraded my Windows 8 PC to Windows 7, but I appreciate this wonФЗЦt be a viable option for most users. On to performance: If you intend to run PC on TV with Wi-Fi only, donФЗЦt expect to be able to stream movies in HD. For my purposes of mainly playing music, it works a treat over Wi-Fi. Anything more and youФЗЦll start to introduce lag. If you can run PC on TV over a LAN then the performance is massively improved and you be able to play movies/TV. You can also control your PC via the PC on TV and I connected a media remote control and it works without any problems. Note that keyboard/mouse functions have a default lag, but it can be configured to speed up these response times. In the product description where is it refers to Videos on Demand, Catch-up TV, Internet radio, On-line photo collection ФЗф These are all assuming you have these applications/services installed and running on your PC. The PC on TV does not stream or provide these services. In summary: The set-up in Windows 7 is straight forward, but in Windows 8 itФЗЦll be a challenge ФЗф especially the no audio issue. Wi-Fi for playing music is good, but youФЗЦll definitely need a LAN for anything more. Overall IФЗЦm happy with the purchase.
