Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says, but beware this simple single stage switch on/off type charger and has limited value. I was using my leisure battery happily using a PWM charge and 60 watt solar panel plus 240 volt inverter without problems, however I swapped the charge regulator for this one as needed to use the PWM unit elsewhere and the inverter did not like on off pulse this unit outputs when solar panel in near full sun, I even tried another inverter of different make but same problem. Bottom line is if you wonФЗЦt be drawing from the battery whist charging this charge may be ok, otherwise use a two or three stage PWM charger or even MPPT.

When used with a solar cell would this be ok for trickle charging a Yuasa or similar 12V 3.2 AH sealed lead acid battery?

Asked by: Phillip
As long as the panel input current does not exceed 5A then this should be fine.
