Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, when you get it to work right. I bought one of these and could not get the time to read correctly, always reverting to GMT. Took it back, shop agreed it was faulty and I got a replacement. Got it home and it had the same problem. Came to the web page to send a snotty note and saw the post from Ian66 "like many others found this a great product that seems to monitor temperature very accurately but, could not get the time zone function to work. You need to set the time zone setting to -1. Then press the clock button in normal time display. ZONE should appear above the time and the time zone based time should be displayed" Did this and all is fine. Shame the shop staff did not know.............

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Time zone is German time Works fine except that the default time zone for the radio-controlled clock is German time which is an hour ahead of UK. Not clear how to change it to UK time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Almost works Even with fresh batteries this unit would not communicate with the outdoor temp sensor through a double glazed window, which is a pretty poor fail.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Radio clock and outdoor sensor are hopeless. The "outside" sensor doesn't seem to work through either the single skin brick wall of my house or through the wooden back door. It might be an outdoor sensor but the indoor unit seems to struggle to receive a signal once you put the sensor outside. The radio time receiver works some of the time when it feels like it but setting up the correct time zone isn't entirely clear as the manual only really describes how to set the time manually and leaves you to guess how to set the time zone for the clock. Just generally seems to be a poorly designed piece of equipment that while technically capable of delivering how it is described fails when used in any normal way within the home environment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but eats batteries! I was given this as a Christmas present and on the whole it is a nice item. Once you figure out how to set the time to GMT (it automatically sets to Germany radio controlled clock) the internal part is great, nice easy to read and in cluttered display. But.. the outdoor sensor drains a battery every two to three weeks or less if you use cheap ones. I've had no problems with the connection, although it's about 1.5 meters away from the base unit. So in summary.. nice item but external temperature sensor eats batteries and on that basis I couldn't recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality weatherstation Takes five minutes to set up from the box, and with -1 set as the time zone, it gives radio controlled time keeping. It communicates easily with the outside sensor, through triple glazing. A very good buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent BUT! A compact weather station which does everything it says BUT I cannot get it to remain on UK time. I have tried the clock resetting to -1 but it still reverts to the Frankfurt radio signal time after a short delay. Apart from this I am very pleased with the purchase.

Hi, this product is set to 77.5kHz the German Atomic Clock Broadcast Frequency, where as the English Atomic Clock Broadcast Frequency is on 60kHz. It does seem like this product does not pick up this frequency, how do I resolve this please?

Asked by: russell1234
To resolve this please fllow the instructions below: Press clock button for 3 seconds, (24HR is blinking) Press clock button 2 more times, (0 should now be blinking) Now toggle the set button to -1) And then push clock button 5 times, and the time will show. Push the clock button one more time, and it will now show "Zone" in the display, Zone means it is set to this time Zone.

Is the clock radio controlled?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes it is, and following my previous review I have discovered the (undocumented) way to get it to show UK time.  Set the time zone to -1 and wait for it to show German time. Then press the "Clock" button once so that ZONE shows on the display. It will now show UK time.

Some confusion as to whether or not there is a separate outdoor wireless sensor. Is there one and if so what size of batteries does it use?

Asked by: Jimjo
Outside sensor uses two AAA batteries. Works OK (up to 3 can be used, although I don't know where to get extra ones)
