I have a BT Homehub.  Is all I have to do is connect this item to the Homehub using Ethernet and that enables a external wifi access point?

Asked by: Ajay202
NO - The unit needs to be correctly configured in order to operate, typically this means using the built in interface to determine the Network name, security and password details.

I have a Netgear GS308P POE switch. Will this work with that?

Asked by: PLSM5882
I can answer my own question. This device uses passive (always on\not smart) PoE whereas must PoE switches use active PoE, also known as 802.3af. To make it work you need an appropriate active to passive PoE converter, such as Ubiquiti INS-8023AF. At least I think so...

Asked by: Gerbil
Hi Dominic thanks for the feedback but i still couldn't find what the IP rating was in the data you supplied the link to. if it was to be placed on a building wall subjected to wind and rain i would like something that was IP55 to be safe.
