Easy to set up, audio good ... except for weird distortion/ clicks. It seems to be when I use the laptop. Don't know if it's to do with wireless interference, bandwidth etc, or to do with computer memory or something. However the computer's pretty good, so I have my doubts. Anyone got any tips?
I bought this device to play music from my PC to an elderly hi-fi unit to another part of the house. Although the range is only about 15m, the radio signal does struggle to get through an external wall, an internal wall, a floor and the occasional passer-by. I've tried it in other rooms, with fewer obstacles, and it works fine. In particular, it has been useful to be able to use the headphone socket so that I can listen to internet radio sitting somewhere comfortable, rather than having to sit on an office chair in front of the PC. Although I've been a bit disappointed with the product, it is worth keeping as I'm sure there will be times when it will have future uses.
This is a great little unit and I will give it 4 stars. But when I tried to use one sender to two receivers simultaneously, this didn't work.
Ok, how to make it work - Win7. You need to read this, it says nothing in the leaflet that comes with it. Connect everything up then plug the dongle in. A message will appear saying that new hardware has been installed. This will give you an unwarranted feeling of rightness. The laptop soundsystem has now been hijacked and you literally won't hear a beep out of it. The dongle and the receiver will be flashing as per the leaflet but you will have no sound from the stereo. Do NOT go to the control panel and disable the USB system, or it will vanish and need recovery from the troubleshooting gadget provided with Windows, which admittedly works perfectly. Simply go to the receiver and hold the power button down for some seconds until it flashes quickly. Then go back to the dongle and press its 'pair' button. All things being equal, it will now work. Mine did, eventually. The sound quality is fairly poor however, it has a sort of 'secondhand' quality that's hard to put your finger on. Still a million % better than laptop speakers, but nothing like as good as a decent pair of wireless headphones. Shame really, this device has an awful lot going for it otherwise.
looking at this Audio Transmitter it looked like just what i needed. But didn't really think it would do the job i intended it for. I decided to give it a go so bought one. when i got it its size surprised me it was a lot smeller then it looks in the picture. Never-the-less i want ahead and installed it, install was so easy a child of five could do it. When i powered the A24GU up "Boy" i was taken back with surprise, this is one piece of series hardware.... I can't fault at all.. and at the price i paid what a bargain, i would give this Audio Transmitter 10/10 100%
Only just bought this item and it is potentially very good. Very easy to set up in Windows Vista and enables a very good audio input to my reasonably good Hi Fi. Great to play iTunes direct with no problems what soever from my lap top. However, the transmitter blankets out my WiFi such that it cannot stream Spotify, BBC or anything else from 'ternet unless you put the transmitter on the end of a USB cable and move it away from the computer. Then it works fine, but no longer exactly wireless but not precisely hard wired to the back of the amp. The sound is good though, much richer, clear and precise than Bluetooth.
AWESOME! I bought this item this morning and within 5 minutes of opening the box, I'm up and running. Brilliant. It works perfectly with my Denon stereo, and has now opened my iTunes and Spotify collection up to my speakers. For the price you can't complain, just hope that I dont live to regret these comments. Anyway, all good so far, well impressed.
Bought this just after Christmas to go with my new hi-fi and speakers. Easy set up and worked instantly! Solved my issue of dangling cables across my room from my laptop. Signal is brilliant and there is no noticeable difference between this and a direct line input. Would definitely recommend!
Dead easy to set up. Brilliant results. Just what I had hoped for. Great value. Get one.
I am a grandad. I don't know the difference between USB and #9 Bus. Today I bought this Nikkai USB Wireless audio kit from their Cambridge store.
The instructions are not really for "grandads" but after about 30mins.............boom boom music from PC to stereo at sound quality to suit my ears. So........... I like the product.
