I bought one of these to power a custom built subwoofer. It could provide plenty of bass at 800wRMS, but it does go into thermal cutout after playing a while. You get plenty of watts for a small amount of money. The only disadvantage is it weighs a lot.

I Have been told this amp is not that good but i must say i find it to be powerful with quite good bass (a little thick at times) and generally very clear on vocals, mid range and treble appear well balanced. i use it mostly for singing.

I run it through Peavey 400Watt Bass subs and Peavey 15" 500Watt Main units on each channel. Goes very loud without taxing amp, needles hardley move. It is fed via an Allan Heath mixer and Pioneer twin cd deck.

The old saying of 'rubbish in' 'rubbish out' may hold true, so keep the ancillary equipment of good quality and you wont go wrong. There is no switch on 'Thump' due to soft start, about a 2 second pause, the blue lights are pleasing and the fans can be heard on idle but not intrusive.

The amp is very heavy due to the large power supply which can indicate it can cope well when wound up with some reserve in hand (my asumption not fact).

To finish it can be recomended but as said, feed it with good equipment and out into good equipment. Lots of Watts for little money.

I recently bought this amp in a bundle with 2 500w Speakers and it is a perfect match for them. it pumps out perfect quality and when you think there is nothing left there always is more to come out of it. I have used it many of times, pushing it to its limit and every time is is still working excellent after. Love the blue VU meters on the front giving you a nice vue of how the amp is doing. Also love the soft start and the protection mode function witch give you confidence that the amp will not blow because it will go into this mode, also if something is wrong it will tell you by going in this mode. All in all a very good powerful amp for the price it is being sold for, plus very reliable. Good for party's and for Djs I would fully recommend this amp if someone asked if i knew about a good amp. Big power for little money = Excellent :)
