This is a great scanner and has a excellent range. I use mainly for listening to military comms and at airshows. Although it says you cannot store channel names this scanner does support this and can also be linked to another psr-295 to clone the channels via the PC/IF port on the side. A good buy for the price and you will not be disappointed..!!

Ordered this scanner for next day before noon delivery as this is when I would be at home, it arrived as promised. I have owned quite a few scanners but the PSR-295 exceeded my expectations considering it's relatively low price for the facilities it has. I was able to use it straight out of the box using the pre-programmed search bands. It is very sensitive at airband frequencies on the rubber duck. The display is large enough for old eyes to make out and it has plenty of good quality audio output. Only slight criticism is that it is sometimes hard to read the writing around the keyboard, grey on grey. Old eyes again! Overall a very good purchase.

Well this is the 2nd scanner I have bought, but was advised to use Maplin as their products were second to none.

The advice was correct. I bought the scanner on the Wednesday evening at 9:30pm and the item was on the doorstep by 10pm Friday morning. Great work guys.

The item is better than I expected and now plan on buying the SKYSCAN MOBILE ANTENNA to finish the job off properly.

Initially disappointed as a first attempt many simple scanner functions seemed hard to find or use. However, after rereading the extremely comprehensive but not always logically laid out instructions I got to grips with beast and have found it to be a very good scanner.

Would throughly recommend it to any one provided they didn't expect instant results straight out of the box with out consulting the instructions. One critism is the front panel where the button inscription are rather small and have vety low contrast (white on silver). They also look likely to wear out

This scanner is great for Airband and Marine scanning, a good all round scanner. however If you use the scanner without a cover the paint of the front will wear-out and go white so the scanner does not look as good.
