This product does exactly what it says on the box. I bought it to extend the range of my BT Home Hub wireless signal into a previously "dead" area of the building where my main signal was weak/poor. Using the range extender I now get 100% wifi signal in the previously "dead" area. Well worth the money to cure this problem. unless you have basic networking skills, one thing is not immediately clear from the instructions provided. In simple terms all its IP settings ALL IP settings on the Sitecom Range Extender must be within the ranges used by the master router or it will not connect or be visible on the same network. For example; the Sitecom factory setting for the Admin Page was 192.168.0.234. My main BT router uses the range 192.168.1.xx. Therefore in order to make the extender work I needed to change to: IP Address : 192.168.1.234 Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway : 192.168.1.254 Not complicated, but it is not immediately obvious to the uninitiated.

Good product with fast technical support when needed. I used a reverse SMA lead to locate one aerial outside to improve link to router. LED's are difficult to see when lit through white case. Reset to factory conditions by holding down WPS button for 15seconds (not in manual)

The instructions dont flow. They dont relate to Windows varients. Nothing works.

Far too complicated to set up. Even with help from reviews on other sites I couldn't get it to work with my IPad. Got a Netgear WN2000rpt instead which was really simple and worked with the IPad first time.

An excellent piece of kit. I am now able to receive my router's signal throughout my house which has my rooms and levels. However, the main problem is the instruction manual(s) one which is in paper diagram form which accompanies the 300N while the other is one the accompanying CD. They contradict one another. On phoning Sitecom for help the instructions were much more complicated but a very patient and knowledgeable technical person (Alex) talked me through various options and after 30-40 minutes on the phone (35p per min) I had the extender working with all my netbooks and laptops. If it wasn't for the unclear manuals and the fact that it has cost me at least an extra £14 + VAT on a phone call I would have given the product 5 stars. I think first time installation instructions should be freely offered by Sitecom.
