i have had the ion tailgate for about 8 weeks and i have to be honest this bit of kit is the dogs.i have had several i pod docks over the years and for the money it connot be beat it sounds like a 400 quid system since i have had it i must have had thirty or so people asking where they could get this from its durability is secound to none and on one charge i had ten hours of tunes and and still a bit left. this bit of kit is ideal for bbqs and the beach i would highly reccomend this

I have had the Tailgater for a matter of months now and I have had no regrets what so ever! It's a great product with excellent sound quality, a free microphone and the battery life is unbelievable. One downside is that when you're using an iPhone you do have to put it into aeroplane mode like the previous reviewer said. This can sometimes get quite annoying as you have to through settings to turn it on as it doesn't automatically come up as with other iPod speakers. That is the only negative I have about this product but other than that it is definitely worth the five stars! Oh and the price is very good as well! Thank - you Maplin!

I have owned the tailgater for 6 months now. It performs brilliantly. Used it for beach parties as well as garage ones. It has only run out of juice once after 6 hours constant playing and that was because it hadnt been fully charged before hand. The only downside is, i have just bought a new ipod touch v4 and it will not dock with it. No music what so ever. Have to use a phono to headphone cable to get any sound out. Other downside, is that there is no adapter for the ipod to support it in the cradle. I will still give it 5 stars though. It does work with iphone 3 3g if you set it to airplane mode though !

i use the ION Tailgaiter for my Karaoke is powerful enough for a party, I used for the voice only, and the sound using a SM58 Shure mike is very clear sound. I also plug in my Iphone 4s with no problem I'm very please with it .
