Weather Update For Scotland

Aberdeen

Extremely high winds, hale/heavy rain and lightning are causing major incidents on the roads with fallen tree's and floods and the A96 is closed.

All AB postcodes impacted.  Three to five inches of snow expected later today

Longer term weather forecast is for mild weather over the weekend

 

Oban

Due to adverse weather A83 closed- overturned arctic. Oban have 8 Vehicles unable to get in to the service centre

The service centre also has intermittent power issues. 

HS9 PA20- 38, PA41-49, PA60-80, PH36-50 postcode areas impacted

 

Inverness

All post codes are affected today, roads closed across all the highlands due to fallen trees. Dingwall to Brora all power lines down.

All Bridges closed in the highlands and all ferries cancelled last night and this morning, review later for the afternoon sailings later this morning.

All rounds are going out today regardless and we will update any post codes that are severely affected.

HS, ZE, KW, PH and IV post codes impacted

 

Perth

Last trailer arrived late due weather related delays.  A number of drivers have had difficulties getting in to the service centre due to the weather related issues in the surrounding areas.

 

Edinburgh

Late arriving trailer arrived late in to the service centre due to weather related issues.

 

Kilmarnock

The A78 Largs to Stevenston road closed, A76 Kirkconnell – B741 New Cumnock closed which will impact deliveries to these areas.

 

Glasgow, East Kilbride, Newbridge

Weather related issues have resulted in the last trailers to these sites running late which will result in a disruption to service

 

Other Information

 

  - Police in Scotland have advised not to travel in the Central Belt (Glasgow, Kilmarnock and Edinburgh) and in Southern Perthshire.
