It turns out that this is not the device I needed to connect my usb-a peripherals to my new M4 iMac which has usb-c ports. The advice I received from one of your support staff was incorrect and I am left with a device I don't want and for which I paid a ridiculous amount when it turns the connector I actually wanted was a very simple single usb-a to usb-c costing £13.99.

Received on time, used it almost right away but the next day I saw some discolourisation at the AC input end, possibly from Heat ? Photo available but cannot attach here.
