With a powerful camera and easy-to-use intelligent shooting modes, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro Drone makes creative aerial photography more accessible to users at all levels.

Mounted Hasselblad camera - 28mm f/2.8–f/11
Co-engineered in partnership with Hasselbladh, the Mavic 2 Pro comes equipped with the all-new Hasselblad L1D-20c camera. The L1D-20c possesses Hasselblad’s unique Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) technology, helping users to capture gorgeous 20-megapixel aerial shots in stunning color detail.

1-inch CMOS Sensor
The brand new 1-inch CMOS sensor has an active sensing area four times more effective than the original Mavic Pro. The large sensor also means better performance in low-light environments with a more extensive ISO range, max ISO lifted from 3200 to 12800.

HDR Video
With 4K 10-bit HDR support, the Mavic 2 Pro can be plugged into a 4K TV with HLG and will immediately play back footage with the right color tones. The brighter highlights and increased contrast are what make HDR video so appealing.

Say goodbye to complicated post-processing. With Hyperlapse, the aircraft shoots stable aerial shots and processes them automatically, enabling you to create professional-looking timelapses with a simple tap of a button, which you can share to social media immediately. Save a flight path in Task Library to fly the Mavic 2 through the path whenever you feel like it. JPEG and RAW photos can be simultaneously saved on a microSD card, leaving more room for post editing.

Brighten up your world with HyperLight, a low-light setting designed to enhance your images while reducing noise significantly.

OcuSync 2.0 Video Transmission System
OcuSync 2.0 video transmission performance is greatly enhanced with improvements made to communication distance, video quality and anti-interference, offering you unprecedented control. It provides a 1080p video transmission signal up to 8km away and includes autoswitching between both 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands for the clearest signal.

Flight Safty
After countless hours of research and testing, the Mavic 2 has been optimally redesigned to increase propulsion, lower power consumption, and reduce noise. These subtle yet powerful improvements, along with an improved FlightAutonomy system, offer a smoother, quieter flight for greater discretion and safety. Weighing just 907g, it has a max speed max speed of 72kph with 31 minute max fly time. FOC sinusoidal drive ESCs and low-noise propellers make your flight incredibly quiet, eliminating any worries of disturbing your surroundings.

Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing
FlightAutonomy has been upgraded to include Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing. For the first time in a DJI drone, obstacle sensors appear on all sides of the aircraft for greater safety during flight.

ActiveTrack 2.0
With improvements to both hardware and software, ActiveTrack 2.0 takes your tracking experience to a whole new level. It maps a 3D view of surroundings for greater recognition and accuracy. This allows for high speed tracking, trajectory prediction and obstacle avoidance.

Aerial Photography Made Easy
Various intuitive shooting modes are available for more creative shooting options.

Remote Controller
The standard remote controller offers up to 135 minutes of battery life on a full charge. It features an ergonomic and foldable design with detachable sticks, making it convenient to carry and store. The new design works better with mainstream smartphones, which gives you a better operational experience. Supported Mobile Device Size: Max length: 160mm; max thickness: 6.5–8.5mm. Supported USB Port Types: Lightning, Micro USB (Type-B), USB-C.

IMPORTANT NOTE - From 30th November 2019, UK drone users have to register their drone and complete an online drone safety education and test, or risk a £1,000 fine. Registration is mandatory for drone owners and operators in the UK with drones weighing over 250g. Registration costs just £9 and can be completed online at register-drones.caa.co.uk

The new legislation only applies to drones being flown outside. Model fliers belonging to a recognised association will be added to the register in the new year in conjunction with their association.

If you have any questions please email the Civil Aviation Authority at drone.registration@caa.co.uk or telephone 0330 022 9930 Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.

gov.uk Safety and Legalities Statements:
Essentially your responsibilities are:

  • To know how to fly your drone safely, and do so within the law
  • To understand that the operator is legally responsible for every flight
  • To keep your drone in sight at all times – stay below 400ft
  • Not to fly your drone over a congested area, never fly within 50 metres of a person, vehicle or building not under your control
  • Ensure any images you obtain using the drone do not break privacy laws
  • Avoiding collisions – you should never fly a drone near an airport or close to aircraft. It is a criminal offence to endanger the safety of an aircraft in flight

10 things you need to know about flying drones:
1. Drones can and do present a very real hazard to manned aircraft – pilots (including military pilots) have reported over 50 near misses with drones last year alone
2. Drones (including model aircraft) are subject to the law through the Air Navigation Order
3. It is your responsibility to fly safely and within the law – if you don’t (and individuals have been) you could be prosecuted.
4. Never fly a drone near an airport/airfield or close to aircraft. It is a criminal offence to endanger the safety of aircraft in flight
5. Keep your drone in sight and below 400ft
6. Do not fly over congested areas and never fly within 50m of a person, vehicle or building not under your control
7. If you wish to use a drone for commercial purposes (get paid) then you need to have permission from the CAA
8. Ensure any images obtained do not break privacy laws
9. If your unit wishes to buy a commercially available drone for Defence activities (photographs, multimedia, and surveys at height) it becomes regulated by the MAA and you must follow their rules
10. Finally, Follow the Drone Code, have fun and fly safe.
