The National Geographic 50/600 AZ Refractor Telescope is the perfect introduction to the world of astronomy and has been designed with younger astronomers in mind. Looking at distant constellations, the planets or even the craters on the moon, the 50/600 will provide entertainment which is out of this World!

The telescope is a refractor design that gives it the classic telescope appearance. The 50mm objective lens has achromatic properties that ensure sharp, bright images with a high level of clarity. With many telescopes, it is difficult to locate a particular object in the sky but the 50/600 is fitted with a handy 'finder scope' which is designed to make spotting the desired subject much easier.

Equipped with two different eyepieces, the user can choose magnification levels from 50x to 100x and the moon filter (supplied) reduces eye strain when studying bright objects in the night sky, especially the moon.

The telescope is supplied with a tripod and it connects using an AZ (azimutal) mount which is simple and quick to operate. This means that the scope can be used not only for gazing at stars but for daytime use as well and the handy 90° eyepiece mount can be used to ensure comfortable viewing over extended periods.

Designed to give years of faithful service, the 50/600 has a two-year warranty which can be extended to FIVE YEARS, simply by registering the purchase on-line.
