• Built in light sensor - lights automatically come on at dusk

• 2 operating modes: constant or flashing
• 1 x 300mAh AA NiMH rechargeable battery included and fitted

This chain of solar fairy lights is an environmentally friendly product as the lights are powered by the sun’s energy through the solar panel. During the day, the solar panel converts sunlight into energy, which is stored in the included rechargeable batteries. A sensor automatically switches the light on at dusk and off at dawn.
The lights can be used for a multitude of outdoor and indoor applications including parties, barbeques and even Christmas tree lights.
The lights can be left to light up constantly or alternatively can be used in flashing mode.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Have had these for 2 (sunny) days. So far they have only been lit for 90 mins (at dusk) before battery runs out. Will be monitoring for a few more days but so far they are not fit for purpose. I would hope for at least 5 hrs. Perhaps the battery and/or solar panel does not have enough capacity?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good for the price Perhaps this product has been tweaked since the early reviews here were written, because so far these lights have worked surprisingly well for me. Initially I got a very bright long lasting display after sunnier days and a reasonable one after cloudy days - however as I had a spare rechargeable battery I did a swap and that made a huge difference. Lights were still on at midnight even on grey overcast days. Bear in mind that on flashing mode the batteries use their energy much more quickly, although the flashing lights do look more festive IMO.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother with these. Two sunny winter days are not enough to keep these lights going in flash mode for more than 40 minutes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The lights do work, it's just they need so much light in the day time to properly charge the battery, and you just don't get that around xmas time. Mine stay on about 20 mins. Very effective when on, but if the neighbours outside light comes on, it's not enough to turn the lights off again so they can't be seen and then the batter is flat again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother. Saw these in store...perfect for my trees in the garden. Worked well for a while, well positioned panel so the stayed on all night for a good few weeks, then stopped working all together. Opened the battery/panel box...full of rusty water, oh that's not good for an outdoor product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Christmas in Australia perhaps Sold as suitable for Christmas so whilst expectations were low I assumed they would glow for a bit. Charged the battery in a charger and they have yet to come on.
