A compact circuit breaker with an auto-reset facility. Designed to withstand overload but to trip quickly on short circuits, the circuit breaker latches into an ‘off’ state under fault conditions and automatically returns to the ‘on’ state after a set period of time. If the fault condition still exists, the unit will immediately latch ‘off’ again. This process of checking the circuit will continue until the fault is cleared. This product is suitable for working at voltages up to AC 250V, and offers seven rated ‘holding-current’ values. Connections are via two solder tags 7mm long. Overall dimensions: 29 x 12.5 x 6mm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works fine Got one on test here rigged up to an adjustable psu. This is the 1.0A one I've got. put 1.3A through it, takes yonks to trip. 1.4A, takes a while. 1.5A, bunch of seconds. 1.6A, few seconds. 1.7A, single digit seconds. 1.8A, one or 2 seconds. 1.9A and above, pretty much straightaway. But we'll never get down to small milliseconds.

Just bought one from one of your shops. What is not clear in the photo is that the terminals are offset and will not fit cleanly into a blade fuse holder (my thinking only). Do you sell anything which will take this circuit breaker like a fuse holder?

The device isn't designed to go into a blade fuse holder. Full details of the item can be found here. It would be advisable to investigate what is causing the overload rather than employ an auto reset breaker.

It says "Designed to withstand overload but to trip quickly on short circuits". So my 1 amp circuit breaker will withstand an overload of what current (1A, 1.5A, 2A etc.) before tripping? Where can I find the time / current graphs for this device?

When circuit breaker cuts out how long before the auto reset kicks in?

The breaker will automatically break the circuit when the current overloads and the temperature rises. The device will reset as soon as the normal operating temperature is restored.

can this be used as a strain sensor for example in a motor mechanism if something gets trapped it trips off to prevent further damage?
