Rated 5 out of 5 by from Im very pleased Love those caps, gives great boost to my sound system, conected in series - 12V/2.5F Just want to warn you, DO NOT reverse polarity or overcharge, it will smoke up the whole flat! Also avoid short circuit, they giving lots of power, and they can get damage. Planing to get bigger ones, hope maplin will sell 3600F caps.

Do you know the maximum specified discharge current of these caps before the smoke escapes? I'm looking for some arrangement of power supply that can dump up to 2.5 amps for three or four seconds before the voltage wilts too far.

when I click on 2.7v 10f capacitor it comes up as 2.7v 10f but shows a 2.7v 50f capacitor. the capacitor i am replacing is made by nesscap. would the 10f and 50f make a difference?? the board it is going into is for a small weather station
