Overview

Product overview

• Wooden flight style case• Rugged construction• Tough carpet finish• Fits 4U 19" rack mount equipment

A wooden 19" x 4U robust case, ideal for mounting and transporting your equipment in. Suitable for four 1U, two 2U or one 4U pieces of equipment, the case is 17" (430mm) deep. 19" rack-mount is a standard width across the professional sound industry as well as many other industries. Equipment is available in heights that are a multiple of 13/4" - otherwise known as a U. Hence 1U, 2U, etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Despite the fact the questions say it comes with no fittings mine came with the rails fitted with some weird non standard screw size. These were not cage nuts type that allow for alignment. Its a little expensive and heavy. There are many plastic flight cases that are better with front and back protective covers. Its not really great for portable DJ's of P.A hire as the your gear gets bashed in the van. If you want something thats heavy and will withstand being part of an installation then they are fine. They are solid and there is a handle but dont use the handle if you're putting amps in or you will end up with a broken foot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The product seems to be only for amps with smaller depths, my American Audio VLP2500 (a deep amp) doesn't quite fit in - the metal frame of the amp sticks out, as well as the bare wire connections and the base of the power cable, meaning I will have to be quite careful not to knock it on anything. However my second, the Kool Sound SX800, fits perfectly. Also, a general practicality note - two amps plus the 9kg of this case does make it a hefty thing to lug around, with only one handle especially. Best to get your arms around it! Other than that, sturdy build and smart carpeting, looks nice and professional and feels robust enough to last. Brilliant delivery as always.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Completely Useless. Firstly (and my bad probably) but the box comes with no rack strip/fittings - make sure you are aware before purchase. However, I purchased for a ProTools 192 and TL power supply to sit underneath a mixing desk, both are 19inch 2U. NEITHER FITS IN THE BOX. My option now is to send back or get a hack saw out to make space for our gear. Very shoddy piece of equipment I failed woodwork but I would have done a better job on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this item, used it for my cd player and it kept it very secure. Durable carpet covering.
