From the picture it looks as though the sockets have a screw fitting unlike most aerial fittings. Would I need an adapter?

Asked by: hoskyj
These are indeed screw type (F-Plug) fittings, you would use cables terminated with (f-type) connectors. You can change coax to f-plug with cables or adaptors if needed. http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-f-plug-to-coax-plug-cable-2m-white-a76xg or http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/metal-f-plug-to-coax-socket-adapter-qp41u

Does this splitter handle HD signals from a terrestrial aerial?

Asked by: Mikel
Yes, it certainly does. The splitter has no idea what the signals are, it's quite happy splitting all of them.

I have BT hub installed and lead from roof aerial goes into that.  is thus suitable to split signal to also go into my free view recorder. Will I loose strength of signal if this is suitable, Thanks

Asked by: Katie
I take it you're using a BT Youview box. Yes, this device will happily split the signal from your aerial between the BT box and your recorder. The signal will be less, but unless your ignals are marginal to begin with this will not be a problem (if it is, a small booster will cure it).

Can I use this item to mix two TV signals ie aerial input with Sky TV output. as I what to input Sky output to other house TV's (I know this is only good for the Sky program selected)

Asked by: Mick
Yes, you may connect your roof aerial to one port and the output of your Sky box to the other and this will work. However, you would be better off using the Sky box's loop-through if your layout permits it.
