I have a Home Hub 3.0 power supply which has a plug length of 12mm. Will it fit this socket? (the diameters match). I wish these specs would list length as well as diameters.

Asked by: Guy1
The depth of the socket is approximately 9.5mm.

What are the three pins for - my connecting cable only has an inner wire and a shield?

Asked by: Donald
I have a datasheet for this product that shows the pin layout and what it is for. I shall email this to you. If anyone else would like a copy of this datasheet - please email your request to technical@maplin.co.uk

I want to replace the socket to my laptop is this ok for that task

Asked by: Gmann
Presuming you need a 2.5 X 5.5mm this should be suitable, although the physical size of this item my be different to that of your laptops, so modification of your laptop may be required.
