Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor quality I bought 5 of these to replace connections on electronic drum heads. Two of them did not work without adjustment. The inners spin and dont make good contact - I am very disappointed with this product.

Is there a non solder option to this plug?

Asked by: jaggedjack
On this occasion Maplin do not stock a product that exactly meets your requirements, or indeed anything close enough to offer you as an alternative.

How can wires be soldered to this plug? Does the plastic shell open, or is it simply one wire and solder that would need to go in the strain relief section?

Asked by: clk93
The plastic sleeve unscrews and removes to reveal 2 solder on terminals.

Hi, would this be suitable for repairing a broken jack pin on a pair of noise cancelling headphones?

Asked by: GuyE
You would most likely need a stereo jack for that kind of project.

Hi -- what size/type of cable should I buy to fit this plug onto? Thanks. (I know you sell ready made cables with these plugs, but I need to make my own for a particularly long length). Many thanks.

I would recommend twin core screened cables like linked below: http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/audiovisual-twin-screened-two-core-grey-priced-per-metre-xr20w
