What’s in this pack?
The pack comes as a 25-strand pack, with each strand 254mm (10 inch) long. For every inch of strand, the 3Doodler can produce up to 10 inches of doodle. The 3Doodler 2.0, V1 and Create are compatible with FLEXY filament.
FLEXY filament is much more flexible than ABS or PLA and lets you create rubbery, bendable doodles. Using FLEXY you can make a design that you can squeeze, stretch, twist and bend without damaging or distorting it. This flexibility makes FLEXY ideal for doodling on fabric, wearable designs and patterns that need to be bent into new and interesting shaped.
If you are looking to attach your doodle to a surface, PLA has better adhesion to a range of surfaces including paper, glass, metal and acrylic. It’s also great for adding additional effects to your doodle such as translucent or metallic sections.
For those who use or store their doodle in warmer areas, ABS has a reduced chance of warping at higher temperatures. ABS also gives a good blend of flexibility and strength to a doodle.
Storing your filament when not in use
Get the most out of your filament by storing it in a dry and dust-free environment. To get the best quality doodle every time, store your filament in a sealed container or bag with an added sachet of silica gel – as moisture can create problems with printing and reduce the lifespan of the filament. It’s easy to reuse the filament strands – just trim off the part-melted end for a better feed and get start creating all over again.
